Student groups will converse via interactive TV with researchers in a rainforest
in Panama from Jan. 12- 23. Conference sessions will feature JASON host researcher
Dr. Jacalyn Willis and her colleagues conducting research projects on Barro
Colorado Island, a Smithsonian field station. All conference sessions will
involve short lessons by the researchers and time for questions and comments
from the students. Background information is available in the JASON XV Teacher’s
Guide and on the PRISM website: rainforest.montclair.edu
Conference times are listed below in Eastern Standard Time. To register for
a specific session, please refer to the schedule below and then call 973-655-7753
or email willisj@mail.montclair.edu. The sessions are assigned to specific
grade levels, and, as noted below, some will be in Spanish.
Fee: cost per session is $150 per 40-minute session per class of roughly 30
students, payable to PRISM- Montclair State University. We will register no
more than 5 classes per session to insure interaction from all participating
groups.

video portal, Access New Jersey by going to their website: www.accessnewjersey.net
