ANJ Web Conferencing Portal E-Meeting Rooms
The ANJ E-Meeting rooms helps groups of people to communicate
(multi-point), collaborate and manage information from their
computers, laptop or desktop, from any broadband connection from
anywhere. It gives users a secure environment where members can talk
with high voice quality, share information, pictures, documents,
share applications and see each other using inexpensive web cameras
and a PC headset. Hold your meetings, class, or training session on
the Internet. Collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents.
Multipoint conferencing - multiple sites can participate
in a simultaneous interactive videoconference. The multipoint bridge
supports 'continuous presence' which lets each location see and
interact with multiple sites automatically. The service is
accessible statewide from any of the three LATAs and via the
commodity Internet.
Gateway services - enables interactive videoconferences
between ISDN, ATM, and IP users. Bridging to the commodity Internet
at a “best effort” QoS.
Local ISDN dialing is available through specialized video
gateways that are positioned in each New Jersey LATA. This allows
for ISDN videoconferencing units to connect with the Video Portal in
their own LATA avoiding long distance calls for users of the ANJ
network.
Limited interoperability with the existing interactive distance
learning service network (IDLS) - two IDLS users can communicate
with the same or different ATM, ISDN, or IP users
Webcasting
- of "live" video conferences with archived streams for special events
with educational value accessible for K-12 schools. This allows for
viewing events and conferences from any broadband connection at anytime.
See some video archives.
Fully managed network with single point of contact for all members
of the Access New Jersey network.
Provides assistance for “home bound” students with member
schools. Contact the Video Portal Staff for details.
